Building a Watch From Parts

I've always found it interesting how a pile of individual parts can eventually become a working watch.

For those who build watches from scratch or use kits, what has your experience been like? What parts do you enjoy working with most, and what tends to be the most challenging?

A lot of planning on a actual white board and many linking brainstorms going to each other and expanding everyday and learning new things as you gone along I am still a rookie but I have taken apart and restored about 10 watches so far three was a complete failure another 2 was broken on inside, 4 had broken jewels sp a easy replace and the last one was the fix I enjoyed to work on it went so smoothly and effortless it was also most like love!

Now your wondering how I learnt all this? Wrist Watchrevival on youtube got right into it i lost interest but what i DID WAS VERY HELPFUL IS RECORD YOUR SELF TAKING IT APART THEN PLAY IT BACKWARDS TO YOU SO YOU KNOW WHERE THE PARTS GO.

And knowing all type of watches what actually looks nice and reliable also keeps it value.
